Often this is best done with a site visit where we measure up carefully and produce a written quote and a drawing if appropriate. This quote allows you to see exactly what we are asking for the work without any hidden extras.

We do not charge Vat on our own work but would do so on work done by others eg. transport or galvanizing. Prices for our own work are quotations – not estimates. We will specify if the price is an estimate.

We are in the privileged position of being a city centre workshop immediately off the dynamic shopping street which is the Gloucester Road. With the tools of a modern steel fabricator and welder, and all the working ability that gives us, we can combine a complete traditional blacksmiths shop with forge fire, hammers, anvil, tongs, punches, chisels, scroll formers, drop hammer and all the tools of a skilled smith of a century ago in our atmospheric workshop. This gives us the exciting ability to restore and renovate exactly as the original work was done– create something totally new and modern or blend the two styles and techniques together
